The PROTECH X-CAL AP is a Type IV In-Conjunction-With (ICW) hard armor plate composed of a lightweight ceramic and glass composite finished with an advanced polyurea coating. Designed for cost-effective armor-piercing protection in a low-profile package, it weighs approximately 5.20 lbs in the 10" x 12" Shooters Cut and measures just 0.49 inches thin.

Independently tested to stop the 7.62 x 63mm 166 gr AP (30-06) M2 AP round when used with compatible Safariland Type IIIA soft armor packages, including Summit SM02, Xtreme XT03, SX SX02, SX SX03, and Matrix MR02.
