Rare Norinco Model 85 Dragunov 7.62x54R Sniper Rifle - AU Exclusive

Arms Unlimited is proud to announce the availability of genuine Chinese-made Norinco Model 85 (civilian designation: NDM-86) 7.62x54R semi-automatic sniper rifles, complete with factory matched scopes. This marks the first time these highly sought-after rifles have been imported and offered to U.S. civilians since 1990.
Only 100 units of these rare, new condition old stock firearms have been imported, making this an unprecedented and extremely limited opportunity for collectors, precision shooting enthusiasts, and historians of military firearms.
The Norinco NDM-86 is a faithful semi-automatic designated marksman rifle modeled after the iconic Soviet Dragunov SVD. Manufactured by China's North Industries Corporation (Norinco), it features robust construction, a gas-operated short-stroke piston system for smooth cycling and reduced recoil, a 24-inch chrome-lined barrel for enhanced durability and accuracy, fixed wooden stock and handguard, adjustable iron sights, and a side-mounted rail for optics. Each rifle comes equipped with a genuine PSO-1-style 4x24 illuminated scope (Chinese Type JJJ variant).
Key specifications:
  • Caliber: 7.62x54R
  • Overall Length: 48 inches (1,219 mm)
  • Weight: Approximately 9.5 lbs (4.3 kg) unloaded
  • Magazine Capacity: 10 rounds
  • Effective Range: Up to 800 meters
These rifles represent a piece of Cold War-era design history, originally developed in the 1980s as an export-oriented variant with historical significance. Their rarity in the U.S. market—due to long-standing import restrictions—has made them legendary among firearms collectors.
