Columbus Police Department Selects Arms Unlimited to Supply Flash Bang Devices Following Competitive Bid

COLUMBUS, Ohio – May 4, 2026 – The Columbus Police Department has chosen Arms Unlimited as its supplier of flash bang devices for use by its officers. The selection was made through a formal competitive bidding process in which Arms Unlimited was determined to offer the most rapid delivery schedule and the strongest overall value to the City of Columbus.
Arms Unlimited had worked closely with the Columbus Police Department on procurement planning well before the formal bid was released. That partnership originated at the Ohio Tactical Officers Association conference in 2025, where Arms Unlimited participated in discussions that underscored the significant tactical advantages flash bang devices provide to law enforcement teams during high-risk operations.
Arms Unlimited, a trusted national provider of law enforcement and tactical equipment, will begin immediate fulfillment of the contract to ensure the Columbus Police Department receives its new flash bang devices without delay.
“We are honored that the Columbus Police Department placed its trust in Arms Unlimited,” said Daniel Shamie, President of Arms Unlimited. “Our relationship, built through the Ohio Tactical Officers Association conference and subsequent pre-bid collaboration, allowed us to fully understand the department’s operational needs. Our team worked hard to structure a proposal that combined industry-leading speed of delivery with exceptional value. We look forward to supporting Columbus officers with the tools they need to perform their critical duties safely and effectively.”
The contract award highlights Arms Unlimited’s continued focus on streamlining supply chains for law enforcement agencies nationwide, helping departments modernize their less-lethal options while maximizing taxpayer dollars.
