Arms Unlimited Awarded Contract to Equip Bureau of Reclamation Security Response Force with Colt M4 Carbines, B&T Suppressors, and Armorer Certification Training
LAS VEGAS, NV. – November 15, 2022 – Arms Unlimited today announced it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation. The contract will provide the Bureau’s Security Response Force (SRF) for the Colorado River section — including the critical Hoover Dam and associated infrastructure — with new Colt M4 Carbine rifles, B&T sound suppressors, and comprehensive Colt Armorer certification courses.
Under the agreement, Arms Unlimited will deliver a full complement of new Colt M4 Carbines configured to Bureau specifications, paired with B&T’s industry-leading reduced back-pressure sound suppressors to enhance operator safety, hearing protection, and mission effectiveness in sensitive environments. In addition, the company will conduct on-site Colt Armorer courses to certify Bureau of Reclamation instructors, ensuring long-term in-house maintenance capability and maximum weapon system reliability.
“This contract award is a tremendous honor and a direct reflection of the trust the Bureau of Reclamation has placed in Arms Unlimited,” said Daniel Shamie, President of Arms Unlimited. “Protecting America’s critical water and power infrastructure is a vital national security mission. We are proud to support the dedicated men and women of the Security Response Force by delivering the most reliable M4 platform, advanced B&T suppressor technology, and world-class armorer training to keep their equipment mission-ready 24/7.”
The Bureau of Reclamation’s Security Response Force is responsible for safeguarding key facilities along the Colorado River system, including the iconic Hoover Dam, which provides hydroelectric power and water storage for millions of Americans across the Southwest. The new Colt M4/B&T suppressor systems and certified armorer program will directly increase the SRF’s operational readiness and tactical flexibility while meeting stringent federal safety and performance standards.
Arms Unlimited was selected through a competitive procurement process based on its proven track record with Colt and B&T products, exceptional training programs, and commitment to supporting federal agencies.
Deliveries of the new rifles and suppressors are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2022, with the initial Colt Armorer certification courses for Bureau instructors commencing in early 2023 at a secure training location.
