Very positive and robust ambi safety

This is a beefy and aggressive ambi safety. I'm very satisfied with the quality. I've put one on two of my builds.

    No reason to COMPLAIN!

Posted by Eric Thomas on 8th Oct 2020

As I have become wiser I realize that people can be fickle. We all are entitled to our opinion, but at times people complain about nothing that does not have a foundation to stand on. This safety selector is great. People complain about how the safety selector is sharp( not sure if AU filed it down prior to shipping but.....). I don't mind being reminded that prior to me switching over from safe to fire mode that I may or may not be in a serious situation. Gloved hands or non gloved hands. Some folks just need to toughen up and accept it for its rigidity.

    Ambi selector

Awesome product. Texture and curve of the selector add something special for the left-handed shooter.

    Good grip

While I liked the aggressive grip and curve, I felt that if the right side (index side) was shorter, it wouldn't interfere as much.

This ambi safety works flawlessly & provides a solid product at an excellent value. AU's small parts are well made and in stock when you need them. Would buy again!

    Good w/ gloves

Posted by Dustin L on 18th Aug 2020

This ambi release is designed well for work with gloves as it is over-sized and has sharp edges that eliminate gloves slipping but with bare hands it is uncomfortable.

Great Ambi Selector w/ Some Quirks

Posted by Steven on 13th Aug 2020

I decided to bite the bullet on this ambi selector given how cheap it was. Once you put a bit of blue loctite on the screws, it's solid albeit with an ever so slight side to side wobble. This probably wouldn't be an issue for folks that wear gloves but for those that do, the edges on the selectors are fairly sharp and will dig into your skin and is definitely noticeable. If you like to get a high grip, the selector will be digging into your hand on one hand. So I took a dremel and rounded out the edges and the surfaces of the levers to where you can still get a good grip but it won't be uncomfortable anymore. I took a cutting wheel and cut down the right side selector, rounded out the bottom, made it more right hand friendly for me. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the sharp edges, but for the price it's definitely worth your money. And if you don't feel as if that's an issue, then even better.

    Good quality

Sturdy design, no issues installing. Can install switch tail up or down. Switch is on the thick side. I installed on a hard use gun and it fits the bill

My new go to ambi selector.

Posted by John Mitchell on 31st Jul 2020

I have an ambi selector switch and extended bolt catch on every AR I own. Unless I have to switch sides my hand never leaves the grip. I come off safe with my thumb and on safe with my index finger. It’s as automatic as breathing. I typically use a basic POF ambi which is straight and mirrors the selector arm on the left in length. This selector is beefier and provides more surface contact than the POF without being clunky and I like the curve. I also like the jagged cut of the arms especially with gloves.. I paid $15 bucks for this lol. I feel kinda guilty considering a POF is always $25. Definitely worth purchasing.
