    Schmid Ambi safety

Ordered two, both feel like the mil spec safeties I had in before. Time will tell how they hold up but they function and feel and look like quality safeties.

    Meh product

Posted by Aaron Nyl Remulta on 8th Jun 2023

Its an okay product, it looks good too. Just the same as whats on my LE6920 Too bad it wont have colt markings like i hoped it would. If you want milspec, this is the way.

    Best mil-spec safety

This is absolutely my favorite mil-spec safety system and every bit as good as a colt or Sionics one.

    Schmid

Always use Schmid products. They are made extremely well. The Ambi safety latch works great and installation was easy. Used blue loctite. Arm's unlimited is a great company for purchasing.

    better than most

Posted by Jacob Ford on 14th Apr 2023

This is an okay stand in for the Colt ambi lever. where is falls short is in detail. The Schmid isnt quite as positive, the "dial" stands proud of the receiver a bit much (if you are detail oriented) and the ambi side is just a long lever cut down where as the Colt lever is its own casting. that aside I find that these (and the Colts) work better for me than other expensive options out there. the lever size and placement just works for me.
