Schmid Ambidextrous Semi-Auto Safety Selector | Short/Long

This is a really nice safety, however it does NOT have the exact same profile as a true Colt or FN ambi. The short throw lever is cut out around the nut at the top and the nut itself doesn't have quite the same shape. Now, if you're not bothered by tiny details, are a true ambidextrous shooter or just need a placeholder for your clone lower, this is still a great safety. If you have major OCD, I would save up for a true Colt or FN safety.

Functions really well on my Colt.

This is the part that Colt uses on their lowers. Good fit, solid lockup and no wobble. Be sure to press firmly before attaching it to the lower to guarantee a good lock up. Very pleased.

Positive snap and same as colt

I have 2 long/long safeties but needed the short lever on the right side because of knuckle irritation. Saw these and bought 3. Price was great! Once installed I was so pleased to feel a positive snap into the detents. Great product, great price, positive feel and has that OEM look. I really like these safeties!

These are the same OEM selectors Colt has used for years. I’ve ordered several from AU at this point, all of which have been delivered quickly and are of excellent quality. They crisply “snap” into place when activated, with the added convenience of the short throw lever on the right side. Great product.
