This authentic USGI forward pistol grip (also known as the M249 vertical foregrip) is the exact same rail-mounted grip issued with the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) and compatible with the semi-auto FN M249S.     This is product is exactly as my other SAW front handle I have from my service. Though some have noted it comes without the "trap door" on the handle, it is fully functional for its intended purpose which is gain control of heavyish rifles and machineguns. A smart person could probably make a trapdoor and spring for it as it is cut for one.

    If you want to put this on your belt feed be aware that this was designed for a wider 1911 rail, only found on US military machine guns. This will not fit a FightLite or Lima Six

    If you are looking for a foregrip to help balance that heavier rifle set up on a stalk chasing game, this is the perfect front grip to use. Sturdy and well built, made for the M249 after all.

    This item arrived as advertised, brand new and no sign of wear. However, mine didn’t have the trapdoor included. I don’t know if it's something you purchase separate, or was left out by accident during shipping. This feel good on my M249 SAW PARA and it completes the look!
