Air-Gapped Thermal Barrier Handguard

The DualCool™ CP1 is an advanced AR-15 handguard engineered around an air-gapped thermal barrier system to help manage heat during extended use.

Built from aerospace-grade CP1 alloy and produced using advanced additive manufacturing, the CP1 is designed to deliver strength, reduced weight, and improved shooter comfort without unnecessary bulk.

Its printed thermal relief geometry helps reduce heat transfer into the shooter-contact areas of the rail, keeping the handguard more comfortable during long strings of fire and helping it recover more efficiently between strings.

Air-Gapped Thermal Barrier System

The DualCool™ CP1 is designed to help manage heat through an air-gapped thermal barrier system and additively manufactured thermal relief geometry.

This construction helps reduce heat migration from the barrel and gas system into the gripping surface, improving comfort and control during extended shooting.

Unlike traditional rail designs that can quickly transfer heat into the hand-contact area, the CP1 is engineered to create a more controlled thermal path while maintaining the strength and rigidity expected from a modern rifle handguard.

Built for Heat, Control, and Strength

The CP1 uses advanced additive manufacturing to create geometry that would be difficult to achieve through traditional machining alone.

This allows material to be placed where strength is needed while reducing unnecessary weight where possible. The result is a rigid, lightweight rail system designed for hard use, high-volume shooting, and modern accessory setups.

Integrated Grip Texture

Printed Directly Into the Alloy

The CP1’s grip texture is formed directly into the metal during manufacturing for a permanent, low-profile gripping surface.

There are no add-on grip panels to shift, loosen, or wear out. The texture is designed to provide confident control with bare hands, gloves, or wet conditions.

The grip pattern is positioned to maintain clean accessory mounting access while preserving a streamlined exterior profile.
