The MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) is a low-cost, color injection molded, folding back-up sight. The MBUS Front Sight is adjustable for elevation and fits most 1913 Picatinny-railed hand guards, but is specifically tailored to the AR15/M16 platform.

Made in U.S.A.

Features:

  • Impact resistant polymer construction provides light weight and resists operational abuse
  • Spring-loaded flip up sight easily activated from either side or by pressing the top
  • Detent and spring pressure keeps sight erect but allows for unobstructed folding under impact, etc.
  • Clamps to most any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/STANAG 4694 railed hand guard* and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons
  • Protective wings shield the spring-locking A2 front sight post
  • Elevation adjustment tool included, but most aftermarket A2 front sight adjustment tools may be used as well

ELEVATION ADJUSTMENT
~1.6 MOA (1.886"/100m) per click with a 14.5" sight radius
~1.2 MOA (1.367"/100m) per click with a 20" sight radius
 
*NOTE: Cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat issues. Front MBUS must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. Because of this the sight is also not compatible with MOE Hand Guards.

    Love these sights. With the side and upper flip up, makes it easy to activate and use. Love as it's low snag and compact. It's my favorite BUIS.

    There maybe better ones in the market, but none as good as magpul at this price point...You can buy some knockoffs on Fee Bay but went you turn the knob to raise or lower nothing happens...I've used magpul for a long time now...It's just plastic, but it's my brand of plastic.     As far as the products, excellent. Added those to a pistol order that I knew would take almost a month to ship. When I received my pistol, no sights. Difficult to reach an associate, but finally did and they fixed the issue. All good

    Ordered black but unfortunately didn't open until 3 months after receiving it and found out it wasn't black so doesn't match my rear sight. My fault for not checking sooner. Just be sure to check after receiving order other than that recieved my orders in a timely manner and will keep this 1 for my son's airsoft.

    Personally, I'm a Troy Industries sight guy, but the Magpul MBUS sights seem to be extremely popular also and fairly well made for a much more economical option from what I've heard. Therefore, the Magpul MBUS were my go to sight when it came time to take care of Chrisrmas and set my Brother in Law up to be more equipped to protect my sister and her kids. Arms Unlimited is always one of my first choices for gear.
