The Rheinmetall 1 Bang VANGUARD is a high performance flash bang diversionary device that ignites after the fly-off lever is released. It produces blinding flash and deafening noise levels to daze and disorient the intended target resulting in incapability of action.

The Bottom Top Venting (BTV) system combined with the Extended Length (EL) body ensures a high degree of hand safety and reduces the risk for the user during grenade functioning. The pressure compensation causes reduced movement of the device and enables a defined area of engagement. The device does not produce any hazardous fragments. The high reliability is confirmed by outstanding quality control methods: every single grenade is X-ray checked. The data is stored for ten years. This service is unique to Rheinmetall.
