The CZ GL 40mm grenade launcher is a small 40mm launcher designed as individually carried launcher. The launcher is equipped with an adjustable shoulder stock, and it enables firing in the single-round mode. The grenade launcher can be used as underslung, attached using the standardized NATO rail for accessories on its lower section in front of the magazine. Alternatively, it can be used as a separate grenade launcher with a grip and an extending shoulder stock. The grenade launcher design involves locking the barrel into the barrel guide, and its unlocking by shifting the barrel forward. The trigger mechanism is of the DAO system.

The CZ GL features class-leading light weight, compact dimensions and battle-proven performance. Tested and confirmed to shoot 2,000 rounds. NATO ACC225/D14 Drop Safety Tested.
