The Colt 1921AC Thompson Submachine Gun is a rare early production original compensated variant of the iconic American firearm. Produced in 1921, this particular firearm's internal condition is great and the pristine blue exterior finish makes it an ideal display piece, the parts are all original, the firearm has been refinished by Colt at some point, according to the history book it appears to have been done in the 1930s when it was returned by the military.
This Colt Thompson includes accessories, included: 1x wood display stand, 1x original 50-round "L" drum magazine.

History of the firearm: 1 of 10 1921A model Thompsons originally shipped July 29th 1922 to General H.B. Smith Adjutant General's Office Indianapolis Indiana National Guard.
At some point returned to Colt to have a compensator installed. (possibly the same time refinishing was done)
Reshipped as part of an 11 Thompson model 1921AC Sumbachine Gun shipment to Indiana State Prison Michigan City, Indiana. This is the first prison John Dillinger was housed in 1933.
