The patented one-piece monolithic upper receiver incorporates a continuous Mil-Spec rail from the rear of the upper receiver to the front sight. LE Trade-ins not really as advertised…
The 6940 is a quality product but these were advertised as “like new” to excellent. The individual carbine I received was fair, at best. Cosmetic wear aside, it was absolutely filthy as well. Luckily I did receive an LE serial prefix receiver but several of them within this batch were the less desirable CR serial prefix.

Used 6940 trade-in
The rifle was in good condition. The only reason I gave four stars, I believe somebody removed the stock that was on the rifle and replaced it with a really cheap one that was so loose and floppy.

Used Colt Monolithic LE6920/M4
I was a little apprehensive about buying a used LE6920, but I've owned a number of Colt rifles in the past and I know that their quality is second to none. The LE6920 that I bought was the monolithic variant and it was in absolutely super condition. A little dirty, but nothing that a good cleaning can't remedy. As for functionality, it meant all my expectations of a Colt product. If you have an opportunity to buy a used Colt M4, don't hesitate. It'll be a great investment.

Used LE-Gov't. Trade In's
I received one of these yesterday and I was amazed at the condition of the rifle. The internals were absolutely covered in firing carbon. Even under the lower handguard the firing residue was very solid and had formed a thick crust. I'm guessing but looks like it has been fired at least 3k rounds, and it would appear, without a drop of lubricant on a single moving part. The chrome lined bore did clean up and I think the rifle will be ok and safe to shoot. Luck of the draw on buying a used rifle like this. I would guess some of those sold from the same batch were almost unfired, and some like the one I received had the dog crap shot out of it. If you want one that looks and really shows battle worn, I have the rifle for you.

Colt 6940
The gun was perfect as received. Its the customer service that was AMAZING. 4th gun I bought from AU in the past year. Ordered on Wednesday for next day air UPS, shipped on Thursday arrived at FFL on Friday at 10:30AM, was called at 10:45AM by FFL and had my gun an hour later. How can it be better than that? Thank you Arms Unlimited!

Colt 6940
The folks here at arms unlimited are top notch. I picked a terrible FFL who couldn't keep track of anything but the customer support folks worked with me to ensure the rifle arrived quickly. I'll never use that FFL again but I will definitely shop with the folks at arms unlimited.
