    M3 tripod not Ww2

Posted by Matt Shrader on 11th Jan 2026

I’m not in the habit of leaving bad reviews, but these tripods are not all WW2 manufacture. Mine was made by a company that started in business in 1968. Not a big deal to some people but the only reason I bought it is because they were advertised as WW2 production, which they obviously all are not. I even offered to send back on my dime to swap out and got no response back after multiple emails and calls. Nice tripod overall but lots of worn finish and surface rust. Can be easily put back in service but I didn’t receive what was advertised that’s the issue.

    False advertising

Not WWII era, broken parts, missing parts, heavy rust. When I contacted Arms Unlimited they doubled down and said all sales are final.

    M3 Tripod

These are not all “WWII original” as described. False advertising. I never would have ordered one if I knew I was going to receive a post war tripod. And they won’t exchange or refund my money! Shameful business practices

Most are not WW2, all are rusty with broken/ missing parts. Apparently there is only one that looks like the photo, the rest do not. With work, they are salvageable
