Excellent trade in value for a basic 16" general purpose AR. I'm not usually one to suggest carry handles, but if you need an upper for a ranch or general purpose rifle this upper does the job, and it's all Colt from when they were unmatched in quality. An excellent value all around.

Correct markings (Diemaco/Colt Canada). The receiver itself only has the Cero forge mark. Lots of external marks. Very little internal wear. Standard cop gun—carried a lot, shot seldom. Mine arrived with some trooper’s wife’s hair tie securing the front sling swivel to the creaking gas block... so... safe to say it wasn’t shot much in THAT configuration as the heat would e melted the hair tie instantly. Ha.

I know this item was listed as used and law enforcement trade in but mine looks like it had been through 2 Wars. Upper is not Colt marked. After reading other reviews I had hoped for much better. Mine was filthy covered in grease and carbon and looks like somebody had used a Dremel tool on it in several places. Barrel was loose.

An unexpected surprise upon opening the box- an early “A2” M4 upper receiver “C” with Cerro forge mark! Unbeknownst to many- the earliest M4s had A2 (flat tops didn’t exist yet) uppers with a light profile 1/7 barrel and M4 barrel extension (52 degree cuts). The complete upper had scratches and minor dings. Bolt is early type- M4s later had different cut at rear base of locking lugs, Bolt carrier is Sporter/Match Target type. The .250 pivot pin and takedown pin holes are present. All “C” and other markings present (bolt, carrier, extractor, receiver and barrel). An unexpected and rare surprise indeed.

Said all colt, came in a colt upper box. The barrel and bolt carrier have colt markings. Unfortunately the actual upper receiver only has a cardinal forge mark. No colt markings at all on the receiver! I reached out to AU customer service and was told that colt varies on markings and these were police trade in’s. I wasted money on this purchase. I have several colt ar15’s and all have colt markings except the one from armsunlimited.com

Fast shipping, great upper. Looks to have been mounted, but never fired. Not even a ding on the deflector. Great deal!
